Joy in Ile-Ife as Ooni Welcomes Baby Princess with Queen Oluwatosin
The ancient kingdom of Ile-Ife is in a celebratory mood following the arrival of a Royal Princess, as the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, and his wife, Olori Oluwatosin, have welcomed a baby girl.
The joyful news was announced on Sunday through the monarch’s official social media platforms, where the royal family expressed gratitude to God for the safe delivery.
In his message, the Ooni thanked the Almighty for His faithfulness and described the birth of the princess as a divine blessing to the House of Oduduwa.
“To God Almighty be all the glory for His unfailing grace and the precious gift of new life. Congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa on the blessed arrival of a Royal Princess through Olori Oluwatosin. May the Almighty preserve this precious gift and grant her wisdom, grace, good health, and honour throughout her life,” the statement read.
The revered monarch also reassured the public that both Olori Oluwatosin and the newborn princess are in excellent health.
The announcement has since attracted an outpouring of congratulatory messages from well-wishers, traditional rulers, public officials, and admirers across Nigeria, who joined the royal family in celebrating the newest addition to the throne of Ile-Ife.
